Strategic View
Future Product Opportunities
From artistic swimming to broader performance hair care and future enzyme-based cosmetic innovation.
KnoxAway® begins with a specific need: helping artistic swimmers remove hardened gelatin from hair after competition. That focus may also create a broader platform for performance. All cosmetic applications require each new use is separately tested, positioned carefully, and supported by appropriate safety and regulatory review.
01 · Core Products
Artistic Swimming
The first and clearest market is artistic swimming, where gelatin-based competition hair is well known and the removal problem is immediate, visible, and repeated. KnoxAway® is presented as a purpose-built post-competition cleanup product: a water-activated treatment designed to soften hardened gelatin, cling to the hair, rinse away, and support easier comb-out.
02 · Adjacent Applications
Performance-hair settings beyond the pool
The longer-term opportunity is to identify other performance settings where athletes or performers use hard-set, high-hold, or gelatin-like hair systems and then need a gentler, more reliable removal method. These products should be explored as adjacent opportunities, not assumed as proven uses of KnoxAway® until tested.
Competitive Ballroom / DanceSport
Why it may fit
Competitors often require highly controlled, slicked, competition-ready hair. Some dancers may use extreme-hold systems, including gelatin-based methods in certain settings.
Stage, Dance, Cheer, Skating & Pageantry
Why it may fit
These groups often use strong hair products, repeated styling, and need rapid post-event cleanup.
Teams & Travel Competitions
Why it may fit
Multiple athletes and performers may need a simple, repeatable, portable cleanup method after an event.
03 · Platform Concept
Gelatin & hard-set hair removal
The broader business idea is that KnoxAway® may become more than a single-use artistic-swimming product. It may become a recognizable platform for removing hard-set performance hair systems — especially where the styling material is protein-based, gelatin-based, or otherwise difficult to remove with ordinary shampoo. This creates room for multiple future products: an artistic-swimming product, a team-size product, a travel kit, and possibly a professional stylist or performer version.
04 · Future Cosmetic R&D
CollagenasePro-based concepts
Because CollagenasePro is the key performance ingredient in the gelatin-removal concept, it may also point toward future cosmetic research. A separate product family could explore enzyme-based skin-smoothing or exfoliating concepts — for example, products intended to help loosen surface buildup and leave skin feeling smoother. This should be treated as a separate R&D path, not as a claim for the current KnoxAway® hair product.
05 · Our Vision
CollagenasePro Opportunities
CollagenasePro or other available, recognized (or designed) enzymes may be effective for many hair and skin care products. Artistic swimming is a proven starting point because published Olympic coverage describes competitors using Knox gelatin in hair. DanceSport is IOC-recognized through WDSF, although ballroom itself should be treated as an adjacent exploratory product rather than claimed as a current recognized event.
